So there I was, walking into the studio with lyrics in hand, ready to put it down on their Yamaha grand piano. Chandler Harrod, the engineer looked at me and knew right away that this guy was going through chemo. You see, he had family going through cancer so he was familiar with the look of a nuclear man. He set up the Neumann mics and out came the first demo for the song. I had made the first recording for MMN and it felt like the album was underway. MADE ME NUCLEAR, the song, came just as quickly the following days, and the following month, DR.O and, ARE YOU AFRAID, came as naturally as the other compositions and demo recordings.
